Day 1...the saga continues....

Dear Friends and Family......

After reading yet another friend's family blog, I have been prompted to take action! So, here, for the first time, I will begin posting occasional updates on our family. Thank you so much for all of your continued prayers for our presence in Connecticut. We know we're exactly where God wants us! On our knees.... We recently learned that our home in Georgia (that was on the market for about 18 mos. with no bites) will be vacant soon as our tenants gave us notice that they'll be moving out for greener pastures (or a bigger and better house I guess). We trust that God will provide another tenant before we need to start paying the bills for 2 homes again!

Our eldest child, Riley, has recently started pre-school and has become friends with a "Jack". Bryan is unsure when he should sit said "Jack" down and explain how Riley is not going to be dating until she is 25. Riley enjoys school, her many stuffed cats, and digging in the flower gardens.

Reese, is now 2 and 1/2, going on 16. She is our strong-willed child and we feel like we need the cliff-notes version of the James Dobson book. Anyone have that? Please forward it to us..... Reese just learned how to successfully use the potty. A task that, I might boast about, only took her 1/18 of the time it took her older sister. Reese enjoys princesses and dancing about.

Charlie is the smiliest child we've ever met. He is content with life and a joy to be around. We just celebrated Charlie's first birthday with family and friends. He is definately ALL boy and likes to frequent the pantry. Yes, he knows how to open it, retrieve what he needs and quickly eat it before mommy finds him. He recently pulled this trick with the dog food....twice....in one day.

And yes, for Grandma Ann, Bob the dog is doing well. He just celebrated his 12th birthday and is down to only 3 medications daily.

Love to all and we'll update with pictures soon!

HI Kate-

so good to hear about your family. I'm feeling the urge to start a blog too so everyone can check in on the Smith as they have time...the phone is impossible now with three kiddos
